FAQ - Refer-a-Friend Program

The Northern Lights Fiber Refer-a-Friend Program makes it rewarding to share fast internet with friends and family.  Eligible customers can earn referral rewards by referring new customers to Northern Lights Fiber internet services. When a referral qualifies, both the referrer and the referred customer receive a $50 account credit.

If you’re new to Northern Lights Fiber, and at the time of sign up, advise us who referred you, you’ll both receive a $50 account credit.

Any current Northern Lights Fiber customer with an account in good standing at the time the referral credit is applied is eligible to participate.

The referred individual must be:

  • A new Northern Lights Fiber customer
  • Someone who has not previously subscribed to Northern Lights Fiber services in the previous three (3) months

 

Self-referrals or referrals within the same household are not eligible.

A referral can be made in one of the following ways:

  • The referred customer provides the referrer’s details during sign-up, or
  • The referrer submits the referral using the Refer-a-Friend web form

 

Referrals must be identified at the time of sign-up to qualify.

To properly match and verify a referral, the following information may be required:

  • Referrer’s first and last name
  • Referrer’s phone and/or account number
  • Referred customer’s name and contact information

 

Northern Lights Fiber will do their best to match a referral, but incomplete, inaccurate, or unverifiable information may result in the referral being ineligible.

A $50 account credit is issued to:

  • The referrer’s Northern Lights Fiber account, and
  • The referred customer’s Northern Lights Fiber account

Referral credits are applied:

  • After the referred customer completes their first full month of active service,
  • once the first bill has been paid in full, and
  • on the billing statement following that month.

Both accounts must remain in good standing at the time the credit is applied.

Telling all your friends and family can really add up! There is no limit to the number of people you can refer. One referral credit is issued per successful referral.

No. Referral rewards are:

  • Issued as account credits only
  • Non-transferable
  • Have no cash value

We hope this never happens, but if either the referrer’s or referred customer’s account is cancelled before the referral credit is applied, the referral reward will be forfeited.

Northern Lights Fiber collects and uses personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy (FOIP) and anti-spam legislation (CASL). Information collected through this program is used solely for referral verification and service sign-up communications. Personal information is never shared or sold to third parties not directly affiliated with Northern Lights Fiber.

While “the-more-the-merrier” is true, legally yes, Northern Lights Fiber reserves the right to verify referrals and to modify, suspend, or terminate the Refer-a-Friend Program at any time, where permitted by law.

The Northern Lights Fiber Refer-a-Friend Program is available to existing customers in good standing who refer new customers that have not previously subscribed to any Northern Lights Fiber services within the last three (3) months of newly signing up. Self-referrals are not eligible. Referral credits are issued as one-time $50 account credits to both the referrer and the referred customer after the referred customer completes their first full month of active service, provided both accounts remain in good standing at the time of credit application. Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may only be used toward eligible service charges. Referrals must be identified at the time of sign-up; credits will not be issued for past activations. Northern Lights Fiber reserves the right to verify referrals and to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program or any referral reward at any time without notice, where permitted by law. Participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of these terms.
